Early to bed, early to rise, makes you… a fucking loser

Wake up early, they said.
You’ll get more done, they said.
Ridiculous.
I’m not saying that’s not true, but people like to talk about getting up early like it’s some kind of holy thing that will magically make your life better in every way.
And don’t get me wrong – I love my sunlight and beach time. But there are two sides to every coin.
Sure, if you get up early, you’ll probably get more done in terms of work. You’ll probably also be fitter and healthier than if you wake up every day at 4 PM.
But do you know what area of your life will suffer if you get up early?
Your social life.
When you get up every day at 5:30 or whatever the fuck this graphic is saying, do you think you’re going to go out and be social at night when all of the normal people are relaxing from their shitty jobs?
Nope.
9 PM is going to hit, your eyelids are going to droop and you’re going to wonder how much longer you have to stay at whatever event you’re at and what are the odds that you’ll be having sex with anyone with your tired-guy game that night.
Probably not so good.
And sure, I guess you could be one of those super people who has unlimited energy and can exist on a few hours sleep while running their business and hitting the gym AND having a healthy social life.
But something tells me that you’re probably not.
You’ll probably just make excuses and say shit like, “oh I just want to focus on work right now.”
You’ll rationalize and say, “psh, look at all these losers. None of them are serious people like me. I have a Rolex.”
All to be the richest dude in the graveyard. Or married to him.
