Go for it – Connect 4

The fear of negative opinions from others is easily the worst fear that anyone can have. I believe that is the single most important fear to destroy if you want to get from where you are to where you want to be.
When I think of this concept, I always think of famous musicians like Rihanna and 50-Cent. I guess Rihanna sings well and 50 has somewhat interesting lyrics, but the vibe I get from them is that they are unabashedly willing to be themselves.
They’ve 100% accepted their identity and have the savvy to promote themselves to get to where they want to be.
I don’t think they got to where they are because of a “big break” or any shit like that. We all have opportunities thrown our way that we ignore because they would cause us to re-evaluate our core beliefs.
“I’m not good enough.”
“I don’t know enough to do that.”
“I don’t have enough experience.”
“I’m not confident enough.”
At the end of the day, we tell ourselves these stories because we’re scared that “someone” will see us making an effort and snatch us back down to our level.
“How dare you try to improve yourself!”
Because if we change for the better, then the people close to us will have to re-examine their own core beliefs. Namely, that they are also capable of change for the better yet are simply too scared to make it happen for themselves.
Which is why I post under a pseudonym.
